I used to dislike voice chat in games, but after playing TF2 with my mic, I must say, it makes the whole thing more enjoyable fo' sho'.

What do YOU think?

Hilarious. When someone starts breaking out the jokes about Bill and Zoey getting it on when your playing L4D, it's pretty loving funny.

Listening to the most random convo's is epic and funny, so yeah, voice chat is good.

Depends on the game. Gmod,TF2,L4D = Good. Blockland =  Bad, Roblox = WTF?! Mic spam.

it also depends on whether the person is a 12 year old boy trying to "appear cool" to his friends

*fixed because I was slightly offended

Depends on what system.

fail. consoles don't even truly comprehend the full world of multiplayer gaming.

any game with 10 or less people at once is fine on mic. i don't get how the game type even matters. as long as its not a clusterforget of voices and busy
i would like to voice chat on blockland. the servers never usually have that many people at once. and in a mellow setting like building and hanging anyway, it cant be that bad to talk

I'm guessing you are an 8 year old who spams on mics, and runs around with AWPs.

360 multiplayer is gimped because of their voice chat system. Microsoft reserves the bandwidth needed assuming all 16 people are on their mics at the exact same time the whole time they are connected. That's why you don't see 64 player games.

wtf

PCs are the future of gaming, IMO.

The last game I bought in a store was Portal and that's because I didn't have Steam on my new computer yet and it was $10 cheaper.

There's just something about not only buying and downloading the game on your computer, but also having it track your play time, achievements, friends, stats and the rest. Console closest similarity is XBOX Live and, while that's all well and good, doesn't mark up to Steam in several ways, from what I've heard.

Go ahead and pounce on me for having never used it.

PC has always been bigger than console gaming...

Anyway, voice chat is great. I hate having to stop doing everything and type. It really sucks in FPS games because you become a sitting duck.

I've never had a bad voice chat experience because I don't go to stuffty game servers.

Ha ha, I wonder if you edited out a rant.

Anyway, yes, I agree with you. I always used to not like voice chat when I didn't have it simply because while I did listen to what they said, I couldn't respond or add anything to the conversation. When I started playing with it in TF2, and sticking to some more mature servers like Lizard Lounge and Source OP, I've never had any bad experience with it besides people not hearing me.
