Orange box is being stupid!

I bought the 'Orange box', I think that i'm installing it. The thing will not continue. I have been waiting for almost an hour for freakin' Portal to "Prepare". I tried to look up help on the Orange box website, but the site is not loading for some reason.

Questions I have:
Why is this game taking so long to download?
Is it downloading through the internets?
Should I never buy Valve games again?
There is 2 CD's in the box, do I have to put the other one in now?

Yas. Only you lose some money, as they both cost the same (Can someone verify this?), but with one you only get the files. with the other you get a kewl plastic case, and the game files!

It should be installing from the CDs. When it's done it should download the updates.

No. It tells you when you have to put in the other one.

Having it on CD is better... If your account gets stole beyond the point of reclaiming it you can just redownload it.

Not true. Once you activate the CD, it is fused into your account, so if it gets stolen, the CD is totally worthless.

Also, the reason I would rather have the CD is because it doesn't take 4 hours to download/install them.
