I scratched my CD badly, and I can't even install it anymore. It goes about 13 % into the installation and then I get an error. Is there any LEGAL way to install it WITHOUT the CD?

I have the key somewhere.

Can you legally copy it?  not sure about it I think as long as you don't sell it to anyone I think it is ok :/

NO. Yes? I honestly have no idea, I'm just typing words. :/

I'm fairly sure you can make one legal backup copy of the disk.

You can call EA for a replacement but being the starfishs they are they charge for them.

The disk has a deep scratch in it.

Sometimes making copy's of scratched CD's works, if you do manage to make a copy the laser won't skip on the scratched area making it more likely to work.

My labtop has a disk scraper. So if it is badly scratched, it automaticly takes off a layer of the disk making it as good as new.

That would destroy the disk.

Yes, to get rid of all scratches, the disk would have near to no layers left onto it. Removing layers of the disk will result in catastrophic data loss.
