Author Topic: Your memes suck.  (Read 8939 times)

/BITSH! has still gotta be the best inside joke. :o

Oh please.
Moot himself used probably 80% of the memes from /b/ in public while doing a speech or simply hanging out in his friend conventions.
As for the oldcigarettes, the countless number of threads with them posting really old memes aren't exactly entertaining, either.

Oh good, I was trying to give them a chance but I guess that rumor was wrong. Still, I'd like to avoid making a topic about them because that would be feeding them attention.

In other news, I might build a list of memes that are overly used and post them in the OP, just so people know what's safe to use and what's risky of being unfunny. I feel allot of people are confused about what exactly are the current memes.

You guys could help by posting whatever you think is an overly used and grinded joke.

You'd have to update the OP about every hour.

Not as hard as your memes blow.

Fresh jokes are fine, because they're funny, but when they're used repeatedly beyond their expiration date that's when they become memes. Memes aren't funny, sure the young minds that are first subjected to them might find them funny (roughly 1% of the community) but everyone else will only agree that their use killed a stuff load of topics.
As I previously said, they are funny at the right times.

"Get Out" might be the only exception but that's it.
The "Get Out" thing works because it's really not ment to be funny. It's more of a counter to all the handicapped memes.

You have been given $TFU

<3 RtB
Oh god I did that so much when people talk about RTB with me around, they say "Ronin has given you $STFU dollars."

In USSR we have had a unique approach to humor. I'm thinking of writing a book on it.

No but seriously, if you take 2 stuffs about the internet "GET OUT".

Not as hard as your memes blow.

Not so much as at least my jokes aren't memes. The only jokes that I know of that were born over there and became widespread memes are all your base and more recently the awesome smiley (which is now :forgetyou: over there instead of :awes:) and roundheads which you guys attempted to run into the ground a while back. It failed however since roundheads were never meant to be funny in the first place.

I would put /facepalm on the list but it's like Get Out, it's not really meant to be funny, it is widespread though.

Here's the general definition of a meme:
- Widespread, all over the place, on atleast 100 popular videos on youtube
- Meant to be funny

And the kicker

- NOT FUNNY ANYMORE.

So slack off on using them and quit trying to turn jokes into memes.
