Forgive me if I missed something, but you DO have a game with the source engine, right? Unless I am mistaken, Gmod needs a source game to run.

Half life 2.

Also, I do have the Orange Box, for PS3. I mainly wanted Gmod.

L4D doesn't work with GMod yet, but it's amazing, and if it's not HL:S it won't work.

Let me take a crack at what I've seen from the videos about what Gmod is;

its a sandbox mod where you host servers aon preselected map, and open entering a server you have a tool box of pre-downloaded items that work with other items to create fun and interesting results.

am i on the nail here?
