I remember hearing somewhere that the feeling of want is much better than actually obtaining what we do infact want. Anyone know of any studies on this? I tried searching but got crap results. The idea makes total sense, but I want to know if there are any tests or evidence.

I'm thinking that once we're enjoying the thing we obtain, we are wanting the fun to not end, and that preoccupies our mind which makes the thing less enjoyable.
