Xbox 360: Redundancy kills me

Not exactly a hate thread.

EDIT: I'm going to start by saying that Xbox 360 is a wonderful console, I love how sleek and simple it is as well as it's large game variety and popularity. PS3 is just as good, but the community is a tad small. But the HD is kickass.

Now I'm getting tired of fanboys every once in a while, when I'm talking about LBP or Resistance 2 or something, yelling "OMG 360 IS SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO MUCH BETTER YOU HAVE TO GET ONE PS3 SUCKS UR MOMS BALLS". One of the main things that annoys me is:

They say that Xbox 360 is HD for everything. Wrong.

PS3:

Uses Blu - ray, the winner in HD discs. PS3 supports full 1080p HD, and is HD for all games and blu-ray movies. If not, 720p. Has a small community, and a bad variety of games.

360:

Uses HD DVD. A redundant type of disk, is hardly sold anywhere anymore and lost the battle between the HD disks. Supports 72p only for games, and 1080p for movies. If they are in HD DVD. Has a very large community, a HUGE selection of games, which are all extremely fun.


Also: tl;dr Xbox 360 has a lot of pointless stuff in it, but is still good for hardcore gamers.

Usually I don't find it on the forums, maybe occasionally.

I find all sorts of people whining about that ingame.

I'm not really on either side here, but there are two big differences between the two. Xbox 360 has a larger and better game selection with many people on Xbox live and PS3 has the better graphics and the blu-ray. It seems that they are trying to go for PS3 only games like the new Final Fantasy to even things out.

So, for all the asswipes out there who think that 360 is that much better, you thought wrong.

I do not care for either of them, but why are you listing the PS3? Your post is also very biased, too. You only listed good things about the PS3, and bad things about the 360. The PS3 makes you pay up the ass upon purchase, and does not have that good of games.

Also, where is the love for the Wii? Have you forgotten it has Brawl?

A good computer is all you really need. It really isn't worth it(all that money you spend on an xbox/ps3) for the small selection of xbox/ps3 only games.

But it is all opinion and in some cases it might be cheaper to get an xbox/ps3 than a computer.

My post is not biased. It's based on the truth. Forgot to add something there, too.

I only prefer the 360 because it was cheaper and I don't exactly have mommy and daddy to pay for my stuff like most people. I prefer to create self reliance. I like the game selection, but I'm not one to make a fuss over Hi-Def as I have a crappy TV anyways. if the PS3 were averaging the same price for a 360 or a Wii, I'd consider buying it, but I don't really need another reason to try and convert my overly large DVD collection as there's no way they'd offer half the movies I own on Blu-ray.

You know what I prefer?

My PC. It can do anything the 360 and PS3 can and most definitely more.
The size of your gaming resolution isn't judged by your TV, which is probably at least 6 feet away from you if you're lounging like I do. Unfortunately for me, I have a smallish TV. That means small picture. Woo.
The fact of playing FPSs on consoles too is just stupid IMO. The mouse is quick and rapid, the console sticks are sluggish and slow. I know, there are options, but often you either spend an hour making sensitivity higher and then groaning how its too sensitive or too slow still.

I only use my 360 for Guitar Hero/Rock Band and Soul Caliber 4. Any other games I'll get will probably be platformers or something. The day I get another FPS for the console is the day I get a 60' TV.
