Is there any point in getting Garry's mod if all i have is Counter-Strike and L4D?
Gmod automatically includes Half Life 2 props and items.
What about other servers? Can i join other servers and play the RPG's they have going.
Yes you can join any server you would like to(as long as it's not password-protected).
If you don't have a certain model, then it will show up as a big error sign.
Good mods: PHX, Wire, Smartsnap, Smart Constraint, Weight sTool, and others.
I remember seeing like a RPG about Half-Life... would i need half life to be able to join the server?
That's probably just the name of the gamemode(I'm assuming HL2RP).
You wouldn't need Half Life 2, that is unless they're on a map that is from Half Life 2, which isn't likely.
It's fun until you beat it, then you will get so loving angry, it's not even funny, Parkour isn't supposed to be Point A, alsmot to point B, back to A, to B, back to A, then B. (I'm talking about time trials) Also, if your friends tend to chat when you're online, and not playing a game, well, you will be pissed, Steam won't detect that you're running it. Also, to get above 1 star in time trials, you probably have to noclip. Load times suck if your computer isn't the best. Other than that stuff, it's good.
I played it and died oh so many times, it's fun but gets annoying when disarming an enemy gives you a split second to react and you press Mouse2 yet it says you messed up. Thus you die in a few seconds after failing.
I beat it in like 3 hours. Fun, but annoying in vents because you're so slow.
