Author Topic: Garry's Mod Graphics Card  (Read 7701 times)

Finally, someone who asks for help that knows what they're asking.

I could play it fine with my 6150SE
However my 8400 makes it look lovey
8400....
I lawled hard.

I can run it all highest settings 4x AA, 1680 by 1050 res.

I have Nvidia FX 5200 (aka-piece of stuff). Runs fine except when a stuffload of effects are involved.

My ATI Radeon 9600 256MB plays this fine too.
But if you want to go for all maxed, you'd need something else.

So, is what NoZoner mentioned good?

I have an ATI Radeon HD  3450 and I can max settings at 1024x768 resolution without framerate woes, but everything runs like a beast if I go middle of the road settings at 800x600.

If you have a super powerful graphics card but a weak processor and other parts, it won't run well. The power of the computer needs to be balanced around the parts.

Also, I have a Geforce 9600 GSO and it gives me over 200fps on 1024x768 on everything max with 2x AA.
On 1680x1050 it gives me around 70fps.

Nvidia 8600 GTE. It was $100, and it's top of the line. If you want a godly Graphics card, go for the 8800 or above.

Ha ha.

8800 series is old school. Popular but far from "godly" by modern standards. I'm still trying to sell my 8800GT   =/

8600GT would work great for Gmod and it doesn't require a 6-pin PCIe connector. They start at just over $50.

8500s work well, too.

Hey RW, I'll take that 8800 for free bro.

I have
512MB Ram

1.5Ghz AMD Athlon +2000

ATI Radeon x1650pro 512MB, By sapphire and its AGP

I can run Garrysmod with everything Very high with them settings :D

I have a Compaq Presario SR1750NX, so is it even worth getting a new card?
