I don't want my build to fall down while im building it.

Last I checked this was not a rule. The only thing this could fall under was unintelligible post, I really don't see that.
It's his forums, he usually explains himself in time.

It has  been stressed multiple times by Kompressor why these physics aren't synced so he probably got annoyed that tape made that reason up.
At least that's what stuck out like a sore thumb when I first saw the post.

i like my build to fall down while i build it, so ill be a noob and play roblox instead :D
ok, suit yourself

Usually after a bunch of people badger him for explanations anyways.

I'm an idiot.
(the game being Roblox)
are you sure you want to call yourself an idiot?

If I understand you correctly...

Not gonna happen. Badspot is too lazy for that at only $20 a pop. And would possibly need a new engine. Idk.

Tell me. If you had a server and somebody called you lazy and poor. Would you ban them? I would because They probably don't even know who I am.

Tails' right!

This idea just isn't feasible and if it was it would ruin many, many player experiences.

toggle

You do realize that what you are asking isn't like toggling admin powers and such?

The difference between calculating the stresses of thousands of objects and efficiently rendering them in a static position is on the order of magnitude of changing which engine the game uses.

Technical infeasibility aside, from a gameplay standpoint it makes little sense to segment the already limited choice of servers/players between two very different styles of building. You couldn't have it toggled on a players computers because then the player would see something completely different from others on the server. Having it toggle on a server-by-server basic also doesn't work because it effectively divides the player base.

One of the main features of BL is that despite the great number of bricks you can use per server/player it can still operate smoothly on relatively old/weak hardware. "True Physics" would break this for a cheap gimmick.
