Author Topic: Removing the "Buried" Error  (Read 876 times)

Why?

In the origional blockland, and with the help of the mission editor, one could actually delete a part of the terrain and then build a tunnel, bunker, missile silo, what ever.

Well, that's not possible in retail becuase of the buried error. If "Too Far" can be removed can someone remove Buried?

Not sure, but then again I don't even know if the Buried error is part of the game engine or not.
Also, Mission Editor breaks respawning right now, which will be fixed in v11, so terrain editing is out of the question now unless you save it as a map.

Hmm.. that's why I couldn't respawn. Thanks.

1. Holes in the terrain save and load properly, so this is a map feature, and not necessarily subject to the respawn bug.
2. You can always manually spawn: (your client object e.g. findClientByBL_ID(yourID)).spawnplayer();

This was always a big gripe with me because pre-retail I had the most fun by building underground complexes. It was cool to enter a little shack and have it turn out to be this big intricate base. I totally /sign this as a request for a vanilla blockland feature:

Badspot: remove the "buried" error, replacing it with "float"; bricks can be underground if they rely on properly-grounded bricks.

So now we can have spam underground as well?

Lol, server says like 60k bricks, but when you get there it is super laggy but you can't find all the bricks XD

You are aware of changing your draw distance, right?

Buried is not removed.
