Author Topic: How would one record a console game?  (Read 928 times)

How do people record the wii and things without shoving the camera up to the screen?

What special hardware?
Would you just stick somthing in the usb port, or have to insert it into the console?

A capture card.
There are internal ones, and external ones.
Both work the same, except you gotta put internal ones inside your computer.
They cost money.

I highly recommend using one of these rather than recording it using a camera. Using a camera makes the video stuff.

He is talking about consoles, PC can be recorded through many programs such as FRAPS.

Good thing he wasn't talking about recording on PC.

I have a Black Magic Intensity Pro, it's an HD capture card. Works great but you need a RAID array to record the data.
