Author Topic: What is the main problem one encounters when making a good boat vehicle? (Read 913 times)

I was wondering why the only boat mod (minus air-boat) is really, really, really crappy.

I know the airboat had some issues with propulsion in the water, which I don't think got fixed really, but its the closest thing to a good boat mod.

There are a lot of land vehicles, a pretty good amount of air vehicles, but no boats, I was just wondering why that was.

I personally think it would be really cool to have a destroyer/battleship with different player slots around it, which would be very interesting to see how they would be used in naval based wars.

I am just throwing out that challenge for someone who wants to take it on, or for someone to help me understand what is so difficult when it comes to making water vehicles for blockland.

just so you know the canonns on the ship would each be its own car and each need a differnt script i astimate 2 months to make i dont know much so i cant do it

I don't need cannons, you could just fire a normal weapon, but just while seated in the boat.

Oh goody, someone isn't saying: OMG MAKE DIS AND I WILL GIVE U roosterIES!!

Yes, I do wish someone would make a large battle ship or a large boat pack.
Because:
1-Dogfights are really frigging hard to do
2-Naval ships move slow therefore easier to shoot
3-it would be frigging awsome
4-it would be frigging awsome

Easier said then done, making the airboat not fly or travel on land isn't easy. Plus it turns whenever the mouse is moved rather then having to do a proper boat turn.

I guess that wouldn't be too bad, maybe there it would react to where you pointed your mouse slower? So it would do an arc type of turn.
