Author Topic: 2012 END OF THE WORLD  (Read 13388 times)

This reminds me of the chick who said:

"The world can't end in 2012, because Jesus hasn't come back yet.  My mom said he's going to come back in about 50 years."

And it just so happens to be the most perfect example of what makes me laugh my loving ass off.

How would that make 11 months?!  It's 09.. that would make a few years.

My head just exploded from laughter!

Who the hell voted yes?

The Mayan calendar has already "ended" three times as is. What makes people think this next one will be the final one? loving handicapped media and conspiracy theorists blowing everything out or proportion so that people will buy stuff like mad.

Remember Y2K and how THAT was supposed to be the end of the world? Same stuff here, just different excuse.

Jesus christ your really stupid, Or how you say it "STOOPET". And if it ends in 2012, Thats 3 years from now.

The World will end one day, its a fact. 2012 is highly unlikely.

It's not just a random date that Mayans decided to end their calendar on.

The calendar was based off celestial alignments and positions, which no one knows how an ancient civilization could know that without all of our telescopes and satellites and such.

On December 21st, 2012 the sun will be in the "exact" center of our galaxy, which would make an alignment with the earth to the sun and center of the galaxy.

Crackpot theorists say this could cause the poles to shift, which would completely screw up the earth...

Whether or not that is so, how could the Mayans predict such an alignment of the planets?

Why would shifted poles end the world?

We could have to remake time in some places, And maybe the sun could hit somewhere like the n/s poles and flood us, But nothing else rite?

Let me cite some "possible" problems that might come if the poles shifted:

 - Moved Time Zones
 - Ecology is screwed
 - Floods
 - Abrupt Climate Changes
 - World Temperatures change after the other
 - Extreme sunlight in some places that have never experienced from what is known as "extreme"
 - Rains
 - Snow in unusual places
 - Some animals may die due to climate abrupt changes
 - Some plants will die because of environmental changes
 - and others...

But anyway. Its far from destroying the world. The point is if that ever happened, the world would've experienced some terrible calamities, but not destroy the world itself.

The world will be forgeted up in 2012 with stupid people thinking that the worlds going to end, probably running around having love in public.

thatd be fun

im gonna have the incubus song A Certain Shade of Green playing on that day

:D

because we all have new years parties on the 21st of December

I'm sure you meant the solar system, which it already is at. Have fun explaining how our sun can travel 30,000 light years to reach the galactic central point in three years if you still mean what you said. :)

I'm sure he means when everyone realizes the world hasn't really ended, how much of a celebration that new year would be. Think more before speaking.
