I don't use power for hours when I sleep.

I don't use power for hours when I sleep.

I use power the entire time, I'm a power wasting bastard! =D

The world needs some "self-charging batteries".

I'm going to make a point to turn ON as many things as I can on earth hour. I'm taking this planet down with me.
Can I come too?

whos to say what energy is wasted? electricity cant be "stored", its created as its needed. and i pay for my use.

the environmental answer is efficient clean power plants, not avoiding using power.

Bingo my friend!

i pay for my use.
But they still can't win more energy trough money, can they?

they make more when more is needed. its not my fault that plants pollute. why pass the blame on the user when the state and government should be using clean power.

All I know is that I saw in on an e-surance commercial and I figured that it was kind of stupid and I won't be doing it.

Ironically, after posting this my power went out all night due to bad weather.

A good alternative would be nuclear power. Guess what we stopped making during the 80's.

70's, "thanks" to 3 Mile-Island accident.

There are a lot of orders for them now though. Took them 30 years though.

I thought they made one or two in the 80's untill they decided it was too "risky" to make the plants any more. All you really have to do is ignore what the Russians did.

Hi, you don't know squat.

Any orders already in place at the time were finished or scrapped. So if they already were in construction, they were completed. If they were just a hole in the ground, they were scrapped.
