Author Topic: What is "Bump"?  (Read 1610 times)

I know i will sound like n00b, but why do people say "Bump" every now and then? I don't need the flaming thank you, i would just like to know. I've been wondering for far too long... Thanks.

To 'bump' their topic back to the top of the category.

NOTE: People WILL flame if you bump something from page 4 or back, unless its something really good, like RTB or zombie mod.

bump something older than 120 days = ban

bumping old things doesnt work anymore

It's when you post in a topic that hasn't been posted in for over around 5 days thus pushing it back to the top of the forum section.

Bumps usualy end up in flame(s).

Around here, bumping a week-old topic is frowned upon. Infact, Thats standard on any forum.

Admins can bump a topic without even posting in it.

What is bump? Baby, don't hurt me--don't hurt me--don't hurt me--no more! XD And bump is something noobs do to put a post to the top of a forum.
