I would've given the pig a gun, but...it just didn't make sense.

Hey guys, I got GMod today. I'm in love. However, how do you install add-ons? I have a few downloaded from garrysmod.org, but how do I install them? I'm now gonna try throwing them in my add-ons folder. Now for some pics. I know I'm not the best poser around, but hey, I got it today. I have trouble with two hand weapons, but I think I'm doing good. Here they are:

Drop the folder in the .zip file into the Addons folder.

Or you could just extract it into the addons folder. Much easier than draggin' and droppin'.

Actually, not all addons go into the addons folder, some aren't in addon format (not having the info.txt thing), so i drop those into the garrysmod folder

How do I enable them? I put the Portal Gun in add-ons, I put Garrycraft in add-ons, and I put the dismemberment mod in add-ons. None show up in-game.

Ew, don't use the Portal Gun, no Portal Gun has worked for Garry's Mod in some time, there's a few glitches here and there, one of them being the portal's don't show what's on the other side of the portal, you only see the wall it's placed on, i think you can still go through them however...
