Oh, now i remember

Nick's pose is okay, but i think i see his thumb coming through the object (look above his index finger)

Do you have to port-forward to host a gmod server?

How are you installing the addon? walk me throught how you did it.
i'm extracting it to the addons folder

I used a lamp and faced it downward and brought it as close as i could to the ragdolls without them going outside of the lamp's light
But then the shadows edges would look different.

Oh wait, that grainy look, you're right... Weird though, those shadows definitely were the dynamic ones being created by the lamp, i even remember that under Sam's hat was this non-shadowed part that looked weird so i had to get an angle that blocked that out of the shot, it's definitely a dynamic shadow

Maybe it was the map somehow? Or some kind of change to dynamic shadows? I'd try again, but i'm on the laptop which does not support dynamic shadows...

Edit: Wait, look again, open the image up and zoom into it and look by Sam's tie, you can see a slight graininess to it, i guess it was how close it was to the ragdoll that made it seem better or something

also, how do you install that SLVbase add-on?

i cant extract it. also, all my snpcs come up as just ragdolls

"Well, isn't this just like old times?"

Silly G-Man, you never could get a bottle of water without something happening!

Why isn't Dr. Breen drinking his own brand of water?

I don't know, why isn't Dr Breen drinking his own brand of water in the video i referenced?

CS_Office doesn't sell B> brand water

Okay, there must've been some sort of ninja update to the Source Engine that had to do with the dynamic shadows, they don't seem as low quality, even from a distance, it's less grainy, it's only slightly grainy around the very edges now, was it always like this and i just don't remember?

Garry updated that not too long ago.  The grainy edges are much smaller.

how2get dynamic shadows

how2get dynamic shadows
First, your computer needs to be able to support it, if you think you've got a good computer, place a lamp, spawn an object, and to see it better, bring the two objects into a dark place, like one of those buildings in gm_construct and aim the lamp towards the object

doesnt work

it's probably my integrated graphics card. im buying this card soon anyway:
http://www.amazon.com/HIS-Radeon-128bit-Express-H467QR1GH/dp/B002ZLPS04

will it work with that? everything else i have is pretty good. dual core processor and 6gb of ram

also, any way to enable it manually?
