Another thing to think about is whether the state they're in looks natural. For example, a lot of things newbies do is have straight legs and arms. Simply bending them slightly forward makes everything look a whole lot more natural.

To pose well, you also have to use a lot of effort.

you have to no collide the pistol, something i find usefull for posing ragdolls is to spawn them high in the air, and hit them with that one statue tool, it gives them the default T pose, makes posing easier imo

You'll get the hang of it eventually, the only reason it takes me a while to get a prop to fit in the ragdoll's hand is because i want to make sure it fits as good as i can get it, then i have to pose the fingers correctly
