Thinking of getting L4D, what do i get it for?

Well, i have $60 that my dad lent to me soz i can gets Left 4 Dead, but the question is, what do i get it for? Do i get it for the Xbox 360 for achievements and if my brother wants to play with me? Or should i get it for the PC so i can play with people from my Steam's friend list and/or with many other L4D players?

If there's anything better about L4D on the PC than playing it on the 360, or vise-versa, let me know

Also, the downside for me getting L4D for the PC is that my brother goes on the PC more than i do, and he doesn't like it when i go on the PC when he tries to sleep, so i barely get to go on most of the time, he won't get off the PC cause there is nothing else to do, he says, well, he knows how i feel, this laptop isn't fun, and i can't do much without getting bored after a while, the PC has plenty of stuff i like to do, one of them being Half Life Source, Synergy, Blockland and Garry's Mod

But for the 360, no one may want to play with me, and so i'm stuck playing by myself or online ._.
