I probably couldn't live with myself if my parents got divorced. I can't even really think of what I would do.

Anyways, I'll take this 'marriage' opportunity to bring up a point:

I really don't understand how non-religious people still get married to have kids. I don't see anything wrong with it if you think God (if you're not atheist) won't be pissed if you have a kid without being married.

I remeber when my mom got in huge arguements with my dad, and she left the house for 2 hours - several days. She usually stayed at grampa's.
I used to hide in my room and cry, thinking they would divorce, but they said sorry, to me and my sister, and each other.  And then there is the story of when dad got insanely drunk...

My mom and dad got in a divorce when I was 6.

They are still friends, just friends.

My mom and dad got a divorce in 2006, you just have to make a choice is all. Stuff is still going on in terms of custody but I live with my mom and I sometimes go visit my dad.

You have to realise that they will be much happier apart from eachother, and by extension you'll be happier too in the long run without all the arguments and fighting. I expect the first few weeks will be a little weird and will take some adjusting. I assume you saw it coming though, and they didn't hide it from you until the last minute, because that would be really stuff.

Are they fighting for custody or anything or taking eachother to court or are they being cool about it? Because divorces can get really loving ugly so you should be glad that they're not trying to sue the other into poverty (i assume they're not anyway)

My parents divorced..two years ago I think. I lived with my Mom(And still do) and my dad became as drunk as ever and died from Kidney failure.

shuttup when peoples parents tell them their getting divorced you dont go opn blockland and post it if i looked at my comkp then i would haveb thrown it out the window i was in my room for like 2 days with da door shut and locked and i brought ina microwave and a pizza gigantic sized you dont post this your li=ying and if not smack me because my parents are going thru a divorce to but im over it by nou and if your still sad you wouldnt post!

I don't understand a thing you just loving said. If my parents got divorced, I really wouldn't care. But that's just me. I would be blasting heavy-metal and playing games.
