No, other life forms have been made it can be proven by the small cluster of space we have here and an equation. The fact that there is so much space in space that it takes billions of years for LIGHT to travel here. They have not contacted us and we can not do so to them unless we take our entire civilization and planet hop until we run into a new form of life. Now if we can only make a living space ship.

Drake's equation.

    N is the number of civilizations in our galaxy with which communication might be possible;
R* is the average rate of star formation in our galaxy
fp is the fraction of those stars that have planets
ne is the average number of planets that can potentially support life per star that has planets
fℓ is the fraction of the above that actually go on to develop life at some point
fi is the fraction of the above that actually go on to develop intelligent life
fc is the fraction of civilizations that develop a technology that releases detectable signs of their existence into space
L is the length of time such civilizations release detectable signals into space.

10,000 planets containing intelligent life in the known universe.
Average of 5 exist at any given time.

The issue here is simply that those values are not all known with absolute certainty.

Edit: Gravity is such a weak force that it's just forgettable anyways.

Page four got this topic off topic.

Also, it depends on how up to date you are on the numbers and which version of the equation you go by.

Exactly, History channel had a good series called The Universe. Explained all of that in very simple ways, but kept some of the harder concepts to explain as well.

Why you shouldn't sleep at night

No one wants to talk about that.

So basically information can be lost in our perspective by being transmitted to a lower dimension such as a hologram is to us. But instead of 3d to 2d where does it go?

No.

That's not what the article is about.

We perceive 3d stuff from a 2d form?

So its like, I'm just a 2d picture while my 3d is somewhere else...or something.

The moon is flying away from us by 1.5 inches a year.

It shall leave us eventually.

Welp.

No.

Read the entire thing in one sitting, or else it will just fly over your head.

I've been watching a lot of convincing episodes of UFO Hunters on the History channel. I'm 100% convinced there are aliens. If there weren't, the universe would be a waste of space...

But I don't think of aliens as brain sucking uber intelligent life forms. I think there's some that are brain sucking uber intelligent life forms and there are probably others that are like cavemen and are way less advanced. And there's probably other things similar to Earth animals on other planets.

Popular Science (or Mechanics, not sure which also done by the same people though) had an article on the Texas "shape/color changing" UFOs sighted last January, it discusses the possibilities of what those objects were and gives a wide range of evidence to support findings.

But would we want to make contact with them?  For all we know they could be a hostile civilization.
other life-forms that arent bacterias and microscopic organisms can be very hostile or very peaceful, all those accounts of "abduction" and such were claimed to be about studying human life for some purpose still yet unknown
