also, I'll put up my tahu ONLY on to cuusoo if someone competent enough is willing to setup the entire page for me.

I know no one will, so that's why I'm almost definitely not putting it up.  Too much effort for something that will not happen.

amazon overprices the hell out of their bionicles and any other lego set.

use bricklink ya pleb

Bricklink has some really affordable stuff, and reputable sellers. I like it a lot. Also I've been looking into LEGO modular building sets for investing recently, and I think they are great for the short-term. What Lego theme do you think has the highest demand?

Star Wars most likely. After that, maybe Technic or Creator, just often not in set form.

Yeah, just stock up on specialized sets/pieces(Star Wars, "Limited Editions", etc.) and wait about 5-10-20 years. I'm pretty sure there would be atleast a triple in value.

I've always thought about investing in lego.

Not sure if this has been posted before or not, but: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AYHavS9kSIA

I just got my old Lego + Bionicle box out of the closet, and I'm having a nostalgia trip going through it. Found a Bohrak-kal and Balta (Matoran) so far.

A few new sets are going to be releasing on January 1st of next year, and one specifically caught my eye. It's called the "Parisian Restaurant". I think it's pretty classy, and looks wonderful. It has over 2k pieces too, which is pricey but I think you get a bang for your buck considering how much you get with it. Definitely this will do well after retirement.

I love them too, the sad part is that they cost a lot of money, but can make you a lot of profit in the end. I recommend opening up a bank account just for LEGO investing with $500 in it, and seeing what happens. LEGO set investing is relatively predictable for the most part, and usually it's obvious what'll do well in the long fun.

Me too! It'd be hard though, especially to make the crown molding on the roof.
