Does anyone have any ideas on how to create a lego "button" that is functional, and doesn't use Lego shock absorbers?

springs?

Honestly it was just going to be a technic thing that looked and acted like a button and would make gears move. It would've used this to look like a button.

springs?

Lego shock absorbers have springs, and I don't want to use non-lego springs. I was asking for ideas for a design without either.

You could use a tyre beneath the button you're making, or a reverse rubber band, having the rubber band pegged down below the button, up and over a brick and down again to pegs on the actual button (this'll prolly mean the button's going to be pretty deep).

UGH CYBERTAILS IS BACK!!! WHY WASN'T HIS BAN PERMANENT
