Don't like them? Don't buy them.
It's as simple as that.

THAT'S NOT THE POINT! God I hate people that keep saying that, it's like they can't think of a better comeback.

Then what is the point?

The point is that lego is selling out their soul to gain more money by making lego versions out of what they believe would attract children the most.

So?
Let them get money for forgets sake, they need it to
- buy petrolium for making their bricks
- buy fuel to transport the sets
- pay for equipment
- pay for packaging
- pay their employees
- pay stores to host their products
- and probably many more things that need money
Also, lots of kids like Cars, Star Wars, etc.
If you didn't know, Lego is primarily targeted at kids, so kids would like lego if kids like the stuff Lego makes some of their sets from.

They have stuffloads of money, now they are just being loving greedy.

They jack up the prices a lot higher than what it took to make. They probably made a huge profit from those Pirates of The Caribbean sets.

Because they need to pay for copyright issues.

And if you didn't notice the dollar has has a forgetton of inflation so there's another issue with prices.

These companies are paying lego to make lego versions of their stuff. Then they probably make 50-60% of each set which was already over priced to begin with.

Not to mention they also sell a stuffty lego game movie tie in which is a recycled version of the their other games.
