where can a guy buy a crapload of 2x4's?
i want like 5000 #3001 light bluish grays.
bricklink has em for .15 (in those amounts)
is there any other place that can do better? lol
also, is there such a thing as a 32x32x1? or similar baseplate sized bricks that arent baseplates but instead thick bricks?
1) you could try to get lucky on ebay, but that's a shot in the dark. LEGO offers the same brick for 30 cents a piece in that color, so the guy selling it on bricklink has the lowest price in that quantity that I can tell. I would otherwise suggest buying from multiple shops on Bricklink who are selling them cheaper, but nobody is selling them in a low enough price with a large enough quantity to make it worth it, especially including all of the seperate shipping costs.
Edit: wait i just thought of another approach. One time when I went to a LEGO expo in chicago the local LEGO stores were selling these cardboard boxes full of single color and shapes of bricks for $80 per box. Like one box of yellow 2x8 bricks, or one box of red 2x4 bricks, etc. Maybe you could go to the closest LEGO store near you and ask if they could sell you a few boxes of just light grey 2x4 bricks. I have no idea if this will work or how many bricks are in a box, so it might not even be worth it.
2) no
so what blockland build is it that were you thinking of making?
