According to Rebrickable, my entire library should be over 27,000 bricks. I believe I am well under that, as I have lost a huge amount of bricks. Last year, I took all the loose parts I could find, and put them into bags and buckets of different colours.
I have decided today that in order to successfully count out how many bricks I need to replenish, the quickest way will to be count by the colour bags they're already in; I'll go through each bag, separate out the individual shapes, count 'em up and compare to my database of what I
should have, marking down what's missing.
This of course requires that all of my parts are in the colour bags. All. That means that a number of sets (about 60% pictured below, there's more in boxes under my bed and on the other side of my desk) need to be deconstructed.

RIP in pieces, LEGO sets. I'll see you on the other side (when I finally count everything and replace all the missing parts).
