Started work on a humanoid robot today. Just need to do the feet, hands and head.

The breasts and the hips look a little awkward to me. :/

I've always wondered how people can do that in blender.

Subsurf... and lots of subdivision. I actually hate subdividing because of all the unnecessary extra faces, but I do not know any other method that will give similar results.

I usually press k to open the cut menu, then use loop cut or the manual one. Sometimes triangulating works too, select a face and press ctrl t. Then subdivide that line that goes through or whatever you need to do. To remove uneeded triangles just select where you want to remove them and press alt j.

I when I saw your post, I thought you made something. Oh well =)

Ah sorry, that is what I meant by subdividing. It still creates some unnecessary faces though. Is there any way I can cut just one face without affecting the surrounding ones?

You can select it and Press Shift-H (Hides all the other faces) But when your done unwanted faces are around.

Or you can Splint it (Y) but this messes around with subsurfing.

I had the sudden urge to use blender :o
And I'm getting back in to it :D
