Would look much better with baked ambient occlusion on it
Haha. And here we gooo~

No it wouldn't. The weapon is quite dark so baked AO would not have a very noticeable effect on it. It's not worth it.

Somebody please make a tutorial on how to do that for blockland, I'm curious.

demian did like 10 or so pages ago
it ought to get a thread in modificators help

I just finished modeling a full scale Northeast DIRT Modified racecar last night. Every part, nut, and bolt is included in it. The engine was the toughest part, which took me around 4 hours to make. I'll post a pic tomorrow night when I'm on my laptop.
Update: Adding sail panels to it Sunday, and making different style shocks on the front shock towers. I'm gonna design a different hood scoop too.

not at all lmao

not at all lmao
Yes it would, you would then actually notice all the extruded areas

The only time you wouldn't see the extruded parts is if you're in a shadowed area that's not lit by lights

I don't care whether or not an object uses ambient occlusion, but i will say that it's quite unnecessary, 1) it's more work for the creator as they have to UV map their item properly and be able to make a good looking AO bake, which not everyone knows how to do that (not saying Taboo doesn't know, however) and 2) it adds some extra download time for those who don't have it, more time than just downloading a bunch of tiny solid colored textures, i don't see the majority of the players even caring about having such minor detail that's also causing them slightly longer download times

Blockland's been fine without ambient occlusion this far, i don't see much point in starting now that there are so many items and vehicles out there without AO, the obvious difference from objects with and without AO would just look strange

This, but is it just me, or is the rocket launcher thing clips through the head a bit?

That, and it also looks kinda ugly, like, too plain and bland
