what is that... blob.
It's actually not bad. Quite a few modelers here don't know how to actually edit the vertices to get a shape, they just extrude and scale.

that "Error" is caused by the knife going down and then merging into a point at the end/triangles

to fix your texture error that i noticed "the top of the barrel" just rotate the uvmap on the texture until it lines up with the sides
