My first attempt at 3Ds max.
Yes, it's a robloxian, but i've only just started using 3Ds max, and i'm reading up on some tutorials.
I'm hoping to do much better soon.
I love 3Ds max :D <3

If I were to release a set of laser doors, what colors would you like to have?
Green, Red, Blue, and probably Yellow.

Green, Red, Blue, and Purple

Green, red, blue, yellow, orange, purple, brown, cyan, black, and white.

I'll make green, red and blue. Maybe purple and cyan too.

Nope :I

Why couldnt you make it colored by painting? like regular doors

Then the metal would always be the same color. Or the laser and metal would be the same.

Haha, neat.  I just started it a couple months ago and I'm doing pretty well. (Refer to model on the page before)

Anyway, I'm taking a class in it at my school so that helps a lot.  However, if you don't know already, it's good to realize that 3DS Max is one of those programs that you keep on discovering new things about.
Yeah, it seems more promosing as i carry on :D
And other autodesk software are epic too, for example, mudbox.
Talking about mudbox..
NO 3D MODEL TOPIC IS COMPLETE WITHOUT SPENGBAB

My crappy first attempt at Mudbox.
This is a picture taken in the preview, so it looks bad, but don't blame me, if i try to convert it to 3Ds max for rendering, it loses the texture.

Hey look, I'm trying my hand at the saturated filed of blender modeling. Basically I'm taking a week-long class of it at school where for a week we come in and do nothing but work in Blender, modelling, animating or working with the game engine. I decided to throw something together on entrepreneur  My Gun and try to model that.

Here's my reference image:

And here's what I have after one day of modelling (keep in mind I had to learn the program from the ground up at the beginning of the day)

I plan on box modelling the entire side of the gun and then working on adjusting depths accordingly to what a gun normally looks like, then adding details like the forward assist, various vents and openings on the handguard, the niceties and curves on the scope, the front sight, the flash hider, etc. Think I can get that done between now and Friday working seven hour days?

Made a hand using this new modeling software I found. It kick's Milkshape's ass in terms of ease-of-use and features.
