sure it's free but im not spending a stuffload of my time just to learn it

i payed $30 for a program just because its easier than blender

I said edge smoothing. Meaning beveling, or rounding.

Also those techniques make the model interesting. In my opinion, his model is far too boring to ever make it into the game. Sure, it might make it into your add-ons folder, but not into the game.
