Awesome link, Barna
its like you only comment on what barna posts :(

I know it's round. Too much so.

Not only is it a waste of polys, but I think it contrasts with the rest of the model too much.
It's called a work in progress. I used an old drum clip I made a long time ago, when I wasnt all that conservative on the amount of faces I used. I put it in as a placeholder because the gun looks quite handicapped without it. I didnt have an opportunity to remake a new one because I have misplaced my mouse and cannot model without it.

EDIT: Yey. Just found mouse. Expect an update next 10-20 mins or so.

You should have told us that then. Don't get so defensive.

I tried coloring the grill, does it make it look better?

Didnt feel like I was being all that defensive... :P

Anyways. Update:

Im thinking of removing the bar coming off the handle, but other than that Im happy with it.

Oh, and just so you can see...

That looks better :D

I doubt that he cares.

Luner, you're car was pretty good it just looked a bit messy with the tris :p

Nope, it actually doesnt. The old was ~ 4000 polygons (The entire internal parts were also modeled; it's bad I know) and the new is less than half of that.

I doubt that he cares.
And no, I dont. It's blocko, and it looks good, so I really dont give a forget.

The old clip had internal bits too?

Also, 2000 polys for a mag? what the forget

Yea, it looks awesome, but I don't really see the need to have a 3000+ poly gun. But hey, it's your ship, you hit light speed whenever you want. Just remember, I won't be there to beam you up. (lol)

I said less than half. It's about 1500. And the only reason it's that much is because it has 16 shells loaded into it. The drum itself is only 500 polygons lol.

Besides, I used octagons on the shells so I could line them up evenly inside the drum (which is also an octagon). Im gonna change the shells to hexagons, which will bring the polycount down by at least 1/3rd.

@Khoz: Lol'd
