My second gun model, a shotgun, not done yet.

Reminds me of an Olympia. held dat stuff irl bro

Anyway, I like the shotgun. I think you should stick to some normal-ass colours on that thing, like Kaje's DB. Brown grip and stock. Everything else a mix between gray and dark gray.

I don't think either of you could. Feel free to prove me wrong.
Really, now. Is that a challenge? Because, otherwise, I'd rather not show Lunar up. :/

Yes, it was a challenge.

New Shotty model! Tell me what you think:

spongy307 you're seriously a huge handicap...

Why did you come back?

Because I pwn  :cookieMonster:

I was working on a syringe, and inside of it, there's a core that's a different color.
Well I set it to another color besides white, and when I rendered it, the transparent syringe just showed up with a gray inside.

How do I make it transparent where materials can be seen beyond the first layer.

Yes, it was a challenge.
Alright then. What about this:

More views.

All above with smoothing on...

...and this with smoothing off. And...

...wireframe.

a total of 122,412 faces.

Obviously not the same subject, but I think they're comparable enough as far as skill/capabilities go.

~1.5 hours with Blender v2.49b. And I can make it better with more time. I just dont usually model simply to be artistic; I have my tablet and PaintTool SAI for that.

That enough proof for you, or do I have to do a whole damn body? :\

lunar didnt sculpt btw

lunar didnt sculpt btw
Yes he did. The fact that he did is blatently obvious. There is no other way he could have possibly gotten everything smoothed and streamlined so amazingly, unless he used a different program than blender, which I know he didnt.  -_-

Added ears, eyes, and touched up horns, teeth, etc. ~2 hours of work, and now I shall go to my quarters and turn in for the night. Will probably (with proper motivation) continue working tommorow.

Actually, it's quite possible.  Just use the subdivide modifier and planes.

Uh, that's not a car. The challenge was to produce a car.

I doubt she used sculpt too. Try to produce a better looking car than lunar's and use the sculpt tool. That dragon head looks like rubbish btw.

Edit: If sculpt was used, it would look more organic than it does. I don't know about blender, but in 3ds max you can make a car like that simply with plane modeling, lots of subdividing and "turbosmooth"
