yeah I used sketchup for years and hate myself for not switching to Blender earlier
I was loving BADASS at sketchup though
I'd show examples but I made most of my awesome stuff at my last school lol
but yeah move to blender, it's really easy. I can give you a text crash course if you need it.

Funny thing is that Sketchup was mainly designed for buildings.

I'd rather have a laptop, not an ilaptop.
Or at least make 2 versions of it, it's just about removing several polygons/vertexes/dots.
