or just use the 3d modeling to topic to post your 3d models ??
What if we used the drawing topic to post our 3d models and the 3d model topic to post our drawings?
Think about it.

get owned filipe1020
it seems like you use wings3d

some little death animation I put together quickly

I can't even begin to figure out whats going on.

Yeah, seriously.

However, if we're so against weapons here, how about some headphones?

The first is the KOSS Pro/4AAA from 1976, recolored to look more modern. The second is my own creation.

ho-
what-

how long did it take you to make that?!?

Which?

The 4AAA took about 6-9 hours, wasn't that hard as I have a physical reference. 27,480 triangles.

The SX-1000 (the white one) had a lot more work put into it, probably 10-15, spread out over a week or two. The reason why is simple. See that mesh on the back of the earcups? Let's just say that's not a texture.

The mesh is so insanely complex that the exporter can't even handle it, so I cant get an accurate polycount. Without the meshes, it totals to 20,194 triangles. It'd probably be in the 60-100k range if it ever did export properly. The edge count is 15,000 per mesh, and thats without triangulation.

Hawt.
Have a nice ban <3

How on earth did you do that with SketchUp? As far as I know SketchUp doesn't even have any modifiers.

I haven't done anything in a while so I though it would be fun to recreate the Dwemer Lexicon from Skyrim. I'm going to try to texture it too.

SketchUp does have a basic intersection function, but the algorithm isn't that great so a lot of the geometry still needed to be done by hand.

SketchUp is radically different from every other modeling program and is fairly limited in comparison to Blender, but in the right hands it can be extremely efficient. As for me, it's the program that I learned with, so it's virtually impossible for me to use anything else. I can model with Blender, but it takes much longer and produces sub-par results. So I don't bother.

I know that feeling. I just kept trying to do stuff after failing. Then tried again. Then looked at a ton of tutorials and replicated all the moves. I learned it eventually but I'm still not industry-level good at it.

Models lookin' cool, keep it up guys.

I haven't posted anything in a while... I've never been this uncertain about a car before.
