That isn't too detailed. Did you see the new Shining Laser models? They're detailed, but not out of place. Blockland models don't need to be low-detail, they just need to have the look and feel of a BL model and the weapon has that look and feel.

why did people accept low poly as the norm? i mean i doubt a kid would've limited himself to specifically blocko products, presuming blockland is themed on toys and bricks.

Because its sorta stylized with how the game is and for a long time (especially when people had crappy pcs) its really slowed the game down (sometimes it still does) if anyhting though its for aesthetic and engine reasons.

High poly still works but it doesn't look so great when combined with stuff in this game, it'll probably still run very well though but give it a try if you want to nobody is stopping you.

High poly is fine for big stuff like vehicles and such (because for the most part they are limited anyway too).
High poly on small surfaces is essentially making a complete weapon for a whole other game and putting it in here.
It simply doesn't fit.
Not many high poly guns can fit to the Blockland style.
Takato sometimes made some decent high poly guns that fit, but that's as much as I know of.
