i wanted to start using blender but it seems like all the helpful looking tutorials linked on their site are locked behind a paywall. therefore, i made my first thing, using only information i could find in the free tutorial vids.

behold, the Piece Of stuff 5000

made entirely with these babies:

(please recommend me free tutorials that i can use to get into blender ;_;)

I personally avoid blender at all costs for my weapons, as I find it a royal pain in the ass to learn all its features. Simplicity-wise, I suggest you make your models in sketchup, and then export to blender. Sketchup has very useful tools for low poly modeling, especially for stuff for blockland. You'd save tons of time doing it this way and all you'd have to figure out in blender is how to export.

Hope this is somewhat helpful or a useful alternative.

i dont understand anything in sketchup someone help me

u click to make shape

ive used sketchup a bit in the past; it's not hard to use, but it does feel a lot less powerful

ive learned its easier for someone to personally help you with blender. if you can find someone willing to teach you things such as the keybinds (which are probably your biggest help) then you'd be set

At the end of the day, the best program is the one you're personally better with.

Blender is ultra customizable fam, it takes a while to learn the ropes but with a little rebinding and adjustments you could simplify it down for modeling.

The program is best used w/ multiple monitors so don't expect it to be intuitive for single screens lol.

did this dude and rigged it

would make a game with it but i barely know how to use unity so another time probably

it forgets up a lot when i pose it in some ways though
