Making some 32x32 baseplate sized roads, idk if I'll release these or not since the ghost brick doesn't show the lines in the road, thus making it impossible to tell which way a road is facing until you place it


you can fix that by making the lines not cut into the mesh object of the road itself, but rather faces that hover over the surface.

Yes, especially depending on how close the top layer of faces are to the bottom layer

The closer they're together, the sooner the z-fighting happens, but the further away they are from each other, the more noticeable it is that your bricks have floating geometry that may noticeably clip into objects that are on your bricks

So there are potential issues either way, unfortunately

Just create some guidelines that hover over the brick then make them invisible, when the brick is ghosting you'll be able to see the guidelines but when the brick is placed you can't.
