Author Topic: Is it available in Singapore?  (Read 2639 times)

Tails you make no sense sometimes D:

I think Badspot being sarcastic.
Why would he be sarcastic?  It probably doesn't work, of course he doesn't actually want him to overthrow Singapore's government, I'm sure.

He wasnt look I even found a post of his.

You live in Singapore, a country in which uses HTTP proxies to censor your internet access.  This doesn't work with the Blockland authentication system since you're joining games using a different IP address than the one the master server saw when you authenticated.  It may be possible for me to fix this, but I will need some information from you.

Goto this page: http://badspot.us/dumb/proxyDetect.asp

Then copy and paste what it displays into this thread.

If you have signet
Try this, the no proxy settings will be different though.

EDIT: btw, all Singapore ISPs can't give you a static IP unless it is for a business.

Edit2: just to clear up you use a static ip proxy from your ISP which is in the link I provided.
You can also buy a static proxy server but I am not sure if its legal in your country.

Not at all. I'm in Singapore and I'm having absolutely no problems playing. (That, or I registered before the stuff took place.)
Really?  Well maybe the method varies by ISP then.  I've had two confirmed instances where users have their TCP requests piped through a different IP address then their UDP requests.  Since Blockland uses TCP to communicate with the master server and then UDP to connect to the game servers, the IP addresses don't match and the authentication fails.

Free country? It sure as hell beats getting shot randomly at school. As far as I know, the censorship only covers stuff related to terrorism, e.g searching how to make a bomb on google. (Which is something I doubt anyone normal that does not have a sibling that goes on the blockland forums would do anyway.) Singapore's real paranoid about terrorism.

Seems more concerned with love and political opposition to me.  I don't see how the free exchange of ideas could cause gun violence.  Paranoia is not an excuse for trampling human rights.

I guess I grew up with it and found it fine. Personally, I'm pretty content with what I have in Singapore.

EDIT: Oh, and that think that Jimmig posted, I'll just copy-paste that stuff into here.
HTTP_X_FORWARDED_FOR = 121.7.157.163
REMOTE_ADDR = 220.255.7.138
HTTP_VIA =

EDIT2: I use singnet.
