I say go with the home movie Idea. Nice couch , control area, snacks area, and projector would do .

My old school used to use "smartboards" which were touch-sensitive screens that were projected onto, so you could basically interact with the computer on the board, and even draw on top of it using special pens and stuff.

we have those :d

Ditto. It'll pay off when girls become more interesting than arcade games too.

That's kinda the thing we're going to do with the rest of our basement, if we can. Have like a little home theater. That site where those arcade machines are has home theater stuff :D

I have an area 51 machine in my house, I can play it through without getting hit once.

I want to get Time CrCIA machine but they are so friggin' expensive.

My cousin made his own Arcade machine out of his old computer, made the case dealie for it painted it, its pretty cool. Full size, I think 4 buttons and a joy stick. He has pac man, tetris, mario, and even an old zelda game, its pretty sick

I'd love to do this :o

My school had some smart boards when I was in 8th grade five years ago. I don't know if they've gotten more yet.

My school has like 4 projecters, and 2 of them are broken. But we do have a Smartboard, now our Tech teacher just writes on it with dry-erase markers, never uses it.

Back in the day (read: over 5 years ago) in the British private school I used to attend in Singapore they had smart boards that didn't require a projector...it was basically a rolling interactive screen. Works much better because then the teacher can't obscure the board with her shadow and can actually see what she is drawing.

So basically it was a giant, touch-sensitive monitor?

I've used smart boards for a long time. Really it's a waste of money unless your teacher knows how to use all of it correctly.

My dad's work has a business version with a kickass remote that can use all of the features (the pens, eraser, etc) for presentations without having to get in the way of the computer.
