After messing with Alt+Tab because someone was messaging me:

Hmm, well that ain't healthy.

Does it persist after you exit/re-enter?

Nah, it was just temporary. It's because I had to change windows and stuff to get to the messenger. (Shift+Tab randomly broke)

You can rebind the overlay to any key. I have mine on F9. That sir is the missing texture picture. It will happen sometimes but not often.

You don't have to use Alt+Tab to look at your messages, Steam has a feature where you can talk in game

I have mine as Ctrl + M

That sir is the missing texture picture.

If you had read the title, you would have seen that he already knew that.

But I hate when that happens, Valve had to choose such an ugly image for it. :(

That is why you are not meant to see it. Just rebind the overlay key to a more convenient location and you should be fine.

Sometimes TF2 will freeze for like five seconds, and somehow the textures get all forgeted up. Text turns garbled, and really random textures come in place.
Like the garage door texture turned into the sniper's face texture. Creepy.

Fixed it by alt tabbing.

The overlay is broken at the moment.

Yes. I had been using it a while before that with the 'Steam Overlay' thing, but it randomly stopped working so I tried to access the messages through Alt+Tab instead - this happened, I found it quite funny and posted here.

I don't need a 'solution' to the problem since it hasn't reoccurred and probably won't any time soon.

Oh, okay then

The texture gives me seizures/headaches when i move back/to it in a game D:
I wonder why it couldn't be a dirt/metal texture or whatever..
