How about making a very strong Nuclear bomb that forms a mushroom of smoke? :)

The amount of lag when this would be abused would fail it if it was ever made. Mini-nuke can serve your purposes just fine, I just use double size for brick events.

In gmod, theres a nuke that someone made, better graphics and smoke, i have intel graphics and i dont lag at all.
