Author Topic: Someone identify these amp cabinets!  (Read 1379 times)

They are two vertical 4x12's (according to seller, however, I'm almost positive they're 2x12's). I need to find them somwhere in the interwebs. The faster the better.

Whats it say on it?

Peavey. I'm pretty sure they're vintage.

Don't know the exact model, but I do know it's a Peavey dual 15inch enclosure speakers. And the ones I looked for online ran for about a grand each.

If I'm not mistaken, it's a guitar amp and it has 12" speakers (according to seller.)

And I can tell you the moon is made of BBQ spare ribs, but would you take my word for it, or go search just to be sure? lol I looked up 12 inch amps and none of them even came close to the height that those things show. Case in point:

Which does it look like to you?

I know speakers. They are 12". That's a sizable amp you posted. It has width. These cabs are not much wider than the speakers.

Just saying, those look like speakers he's selling you, not an amp.

They make 2x12's that are vertical and are placed side by side.

Edit: In case you think I'm looking for a full amp, all I need are speakers. I have this:

You're probably right though. They aren't designed for guitar.

Looks like they are made to rest horizontally, as well. Note the feet on the left sides.

Ontopic: Are you looking on craigslist? If yes then just email the guy and ask for more details and pics.

He didn't know much about what he had, but I realize that these are PA speakers now.

Now it all makes sense.

I would help you but the picture is broken.

He figured this out a week ago. Don't bump old topics.

I would help you but the picture is broken.

It wasn't when this topic was RELEVANT. The pic was linked from Craigslist, and the seller closed out the item. Of course the picture will be broken nine days later.
