I'll type out a long as hell review for the hell of it.
Cell stage: Pretty cool! This is neat! ...Wha- Wait, I'm already done?! stuff, that's too fast and really fun!
Basically it needed to be longer. It's really fun and I hate seeing it to be oh so short.
Creature stage: Okay, this is a little alright. My creature sucks though.
(20 minutes into stage)
Ugh, this is taking FOREVER.
(Another 20 minutes)
Hehe, sweet! My creature finally kicks ass! I can't wait to kill ever- Wait, I'm done?! Great.
Needed less time and more variety in success. It's boring to kill creatures over and over or play with them over and over, and impressing is harder than killing.
Tribal Stage: Am I playing a Civilization game in RTS or Spore? Really boring.
Needed again more variety in winning. It's either kill them and burn their hut or dance and sing with them.
Civilization Stage: Alright, this is sorta fun! Money is good, vehicles are sorta cool, this is alright! Oh, an ICBM power? Sweet, I wonder what it does. (Press) Everyone's dead?! This is almost like the Cell Stage!
Basically, a little short. Too easy with the "kill the world" powers after 6 cities, and military vehicles can be too powerful.
Space Stage: Here we go! This is sorta cool!
(20 minutes passes)
This is nothing like I imagined. It's just personal errands for your homeworld, farming for spice, war and achievement whoring. The only fun is the cool graphics.
Needed more than just "hey we need you to pick this up for us" or "protect us we're too weak" missions. Graphics are amazing, though, that's the best thing in SPORE so far, the graphics in space. And it's just general achievement whoring to get progress in the game, or at least to not get the crap kicked out of you.
Overall: Needed a lot more work, and was totally a ruin of what was promised. Chris Hecker or whatever his last name is ruined it for everyone, and should be taken out to the pasture and shot for doing what EA does best to every game series.
The ideas for expansion packs being promised are nothing we want.
