For some reason I've always wanted one of these boards, but I can never find one.

Go to your local comic book store, and ask the guy behind the counter. I'm sure he can hook you up.

Ive tried getting into it, but I can't get a group together, I dont have enough friends that want to give it a shot, and I've bought all the books too :(

ALL the books?

Woah woah, I said I wanted a DnD board, not research.

Silly pingpeppy :D

I still don't know if you mean a DM screen or a mat.

It's usually only fun when you are the dungeon master. I played with my brother a few times, and it's fun to make stuff up as you go along and add it to the game :D

Sounds awesome. :D

If I could get hold of a blank character sheet, I'd make the most amazing character evar.

You can download and print the character sheets from the DnD website.

I'd say my character's are the most amazing ever, but one of my friends made a character using a bunch of complicated, but legal, variants and basically was so over powered that he barely attacked to make it fair for everyone else that normal characters, and still probably did more damage than anyone else.

They make this awesome stuff called paper, you can draw a 1" grid and buildings and trees and water and stuff on it and it's like a dollar for 100 sheets.

I've never seen a real D&D board, everyone I've ever seen play it uses graph paper.

Then again, my actual experience with D&D is limited to having peaked over shoulders in the lunch room to see what people were doing.

The closest thing I can think of he is talking about would be a giant mat that has a grid on it, but none of my friends who have Dm'd have ever used one of those, either just kinda verbalizing where we are, or using graph paper and legos as markers.

I've thought about getting into it but I have no idea how to get started.

Any pointers?

Any useful pointers? Preferably from people who can spell?

ALL the books?

yes I bought ALL the books in existence [/sarcasm]

no just the core books, I probably should have worded that better.

What sort of pointers are you looking for?
