No, GMod automatically comes with all props from HL2 I believe. You just won't be able to play on any of the hl2 maps, but no one does that much anyway.

I removed Breen, and spawned a desk and decorated it and took a picture of it too, i was in the picture, i did this a long time ago

No, but unless you have a crap load of the games in it, I suggest you get the orange box so you get a good set of games + all the content to be put in Gmod. For the weekend it is $10. and Gmod is the same.

I get all the major add-ons from glua.net

They're updated hourly so they're technically SVNs but you download them in a .RAR

My friend did that too, But it also had the dialogue on the bottom and it looked like the heavy was talking.

So you have to redownload the entire SVN over and over.
Instead of with SVN, you just download a few files, the only things that were updated.

Real logical dude.

I only re-download it when my mate in JokerIce tells me that PHX or whatever has been updated :V

Not to mention I hate real SVNs, they bug out constantly on my computer, and when you're downloading it for the first time, 150 odd MB's through a slow SVN isn't very fun.....

Which is better? Having to download 150MB+ every single time it's updated. Or just downloading 150mb once, and then maybe 2mb each time it's updated?

If you pick the first one, you either are handicapped or can't do math.

why redownload something every time? I hate non-SVN downloads. It is just a waste of time to have to go to the forums, to the DL site, download, move to new location + overwrite. SVN just requires mouse + update SVN.

It is actually a fast website, I achieved 1MB/s download speeds last time I re-downloaded PHX

Besides, I'd much rather download 150 Mb each time it's majorly updated instead of downloading an SVn slowly and possible cause problems for my computer that I have to restart to fix, and then re-download the SVN all over again.

And if all you're going to do is point out every tiny little flaw in my preferred method of downloading major add-ons for Gmod then you can go have a heart attack, because i wont be listening reading >.>
