Maybe the parents mistook mature for mild.

I agree with this topic compleatly. I heard someone complaining becouse they learned some curse word from some game rated M. I tried to tell them the logic explained in this post, and they said "Well, the shop guy shouldn't of let me buy it for him!" Are people really this stupid?

Hay guise.  I am 7.

I have just thrown stuff at a cop after arriving to a city on a train.  Then I ran off and got taken in by a cop, I happened to know him and he let me off with a warning and sent me out.  Then I found some tin foil and orange and black markers and made a cool suit.  After make a suit I stole a cops gun and shot a bunch of cops and ran off.  I found a crowbar at some point and I used that to my advantage too! :D
Later on, I shot down several helicopters that were chasing after me and broke out of a dam with my boat.  I continued to rebel against the police and broke into a federal prison to free rebels.  After succeeding in freeing those rebels I ran off to Washington DC and blew up that big tower thing by the water.  I then broke into the whitehouse to get a packet of info on the the government and their alien-like projects.  I found some crap labled AREA 51 and decided it was pretty alienish and stole that on my flash drive.  I took the info to a hacker and we found some cool stuff.  At this point the FBI were all after me.  I was being chased by them and there was a huge explosion and everything froze in time and I saw a man in a suit talking to me.  I woke up at my house and began to type this.  It's my life story.  My mom blamed Half Life.

What seems to be the common parent in the US today is extremely childish.  They usually know that it's their fault, but hell, why admit it when you can blame it on something else?
Mainly because blaming the game gets you media time and money. Who'd want to pass that up? Doesn't help that most parents nowadays are trying to be buddies with their kids rather than strict. Yeah, you all may hate your parents for being a richard now and then, but it's always for a good reason. Try not to hate em too much. They could always start charging you rent. :/

Only plausible explanation.

What is your name, by the way?

What is your name, by the way?
lol why do you want to know?

Gotcha. exiting, stage right even. :D

Dammit I'm the stage hand, you watch yo mouth or I drop sandbags on yo nuggets. =p lol

I've been playing M rated games when I was like 6 or 7. It has not made me any more violent, I just am able to be "k violence idc".

The only thing that I could think of that has changed in me is my crude humor. But then I look at my brothers and dad and see that it just runs in the family :D.
Exactly. If you aren't able to tell the difference between reality and games, you are a dumbstuff.

Crude humor makes the world go round :3
Now that is true

Now that i think about it, i wish i was an only child. That way i could have M games, Instead of having the excuse from my parents, "You cant get that because your brother doesnt need to be seeing that stuff." He is 6. Also i think my cousin might have a problem, He knows ALOT about guns. He even owns his own gun. I know jack about guns. Though ive never fantasize about killing ANYONE. Even my unfair as heck teacher

I've been playing violent games for my whole life.
Since I am not mentally ill, the games have had no bad effect on me.

Halo isn't violent at all.

Are you aware of the definition of violent? Halo involves shooting people. While it doesn't have the blood and gore of some other games, it is still on the violent spectrum.
