Author Topic: Laptop speakers broken  (Read 1901 times)

I only got this like 3 days ago, and it's already screwing up.

It's a Compaq presario CQ40, speakers were working fine a couple of hours ago, then i uninstalled nortan poop and restarted it and now nothing plays through the inbuilt speaks (headphones plugged in works). Anyone have any ideas?

Pound your head in the dirt until it fixes itself by remote operating systems via the Blockland forum.

You did check the levels on the speaker output?

Yeah everything's playing, you just can't hear it. It's not like it's faint it's just completely no sound.

sound drivers gone?

Compaq presario CQ40
Problem found.
Compaq = HP = Worst computer brand ever.

Dell or Acer.  Worst.

I'd love to hear how you came to this dubious conclusion.

if i ever got a prebuilt comp, it would prob be an HP
and for a laptop i would have likely done that anyways

Compaq computers/laptops are still made? :O
Never knew that.

Dell or Acer.  Worst.
I've never had an Acer, but I agree with you on Dell.
And my Compaq works just lovely, thank you very much, Miga. >:(

I used to have an Acer but I sold it, and I have a Dell that Isn't great but still can go fast, and I'm posting this with my HP that I'm gonna put upgrades into.

Ha Ha! we have more anecdotal evidence than you do Miga!

Acer is a great brand for pretty much everything. Predator for gaming, Aspire One netbook, Aspire 8930G for notebooks, and they even make LCD Monitors. (I have a 22'' Acer x223w from Tco'03 displays.

HPs havever failed in the family, both Dells have.
