ability to play as super sonic in NORMAL levels (sonic 3 ftw)
more moving freedom
chao garden (actualy able to RAISE chao) sonic advance 3 failed
online racing (that would be fun)
not taking away speed at ANY point in the game (sonic unleashed FAILED)
a removing of a characters exept: sonic, tails, knuckles, amy, and eggman
if sega did these things it would reduce crappiness and heavy fanboism

You just described old Sonic games.

That's pretty much Sonic Adventure 2, except it had newer characters and you couldn't play as Super Sonic all the time.
